POSITION
Summary:
The Patient Transport/Lift Team Specialist performs patient transports, transfers, lifts, and repositions using the appropriate patient lifting equipment and safe patient handling policies and procedures.
They also pick up and delivers inpatients and patient care items between patient care units and other ancillary departments.
In doing so, they demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
Responsible for the maintenance and inventory of patient lifting equipment along with maintaining proper hygiene of the slings and lifting/transportation equipment on each unit.
The Patient Transport/Lift Team Specialist may assist with employee education and training of patient lifting equipment and transfer techniques when indicated.

Must be at least 18 years old to be considered for position Knowledge/Skills:
Excellent customer service and communication skills Basic understanding of communication equipment such as pagers, phones and computers PREFERRED

Education:
