To oversee Human Resources daily operations, focusing on employee benefits and retention to create a positive culture.
Prioritize all retention efforts to reduce agency turnover rates through direct support of EP!C employees.
Develop and implement tracking systems to analyze trends and outcomes for retention and employee benefits, including EP!C's wellness program.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities Mission Vision, Values To support the philosophy through the agency's mission, vision, values, and strategic plan.
Manage all responsibilities based on the agency mission, using individual choice and appropriate policies, procedures, and regulations.
To conduct and communicate oneself in a manner that reflects the highest standards of professional courtesy and ethical practices to people served, staff, guardians, families, and outside contacts.
Assistance to Senior Vice President of Human Resources To communicate any employee potential issues or trends regarding retention and or employee benefits.
Assist in developing policy drafts and procedures, department goals, budget guidelines, operational strategies, and program evaluation and quality assurance methods.
As assigned, assist the Vice President of HR in special projects and duties related to the HR department.
Program /Department Development, and Coordination Retention:
To develop, adjust, and implement current Retention Plan.
Work with supervisors in one-to-one and or group settings to reduce turnover and to provide a positive culture.
Develop, implement, and analyze satisfaction surveys completed by all employees.
Coordinate and facilitate quarterly focus groups or as otherwise directed.
Develop and implement tracking systems to analyze trends and outcomes regarding retention monthly.
Collaborate with key staff to review and evaluate ways to retain employees.
Participate in the development of training needs with the VP of Human Resource and the Director of Training.
Evaluate and work with all supervisors in the coaching and disciplinary process.
Review and respond to unemployment claims with appropriate documentation.
Review monthly unemployment statements.
Enhance personal and professional development through participation in meetings, conferences, in-services, committees, and self-study.
Ensure communication with supervisor in regards to any delays or problematic areas of the HR department.
Benefits:
Administer various employee benefits programs, including and not limited to employee enrollment and termination.
Conduct benefits orientations and explains the benefits self-enrollment system.
Maintain employee benefits filing systems and ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately in the payroll system for payroll deduction.
Assist employees with benefit claims.
Verify the calculation of the monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies and maintain statistical data relative to premiums, claims, and costs.
Resolve administrative problems with the carrier representatives.
Prepare and set up meetings designed to help employees obtain information and understand company benefits and other related incentive programs.
Ensure distribution of required employee notices.
To plan and coordinate Wellness Program including Wellness Center, Wellness Challenges, and Educational classes.
Plan and coordinate the employee Annual Benefits Fair.
Fiscal Management To review and process all billings for insurance and 403B Follow-up on any billing irregularities.
Marginal Responsibilities Maintain confidentiality of all information obtained by the Human Resources and follow all HIPPA guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
As a mandated reporter, ensure all allegations of abuse and neglect are reported as required.
Education/Experience Requirements High school diploma.
Associate degree in business preferred.
Two-year human resources experience preferred.
May consider an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must work extended hours if necessary to support EP!C employees and other work-related engagements.
A valid Illinois driver's license and automobile insurance Competency Requirements Ability to multi-task.
