The position involves auditing parishes and schools, assisting the parishes, schools and institutions across 26 counties in Central Illinois with accounting questions, managing the Spalding Scholarship Fund and other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have 3
years of accounting or finance related experience.
This full-time position is located in the Spalding Pastoral Center and does require limited day trips within the Diocese.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the financial operations of the organization - Implement financial strategies, plans, and policies - Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing regular reports to senior management - Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards - Manage the budgeting process and monitor budget variances - Provide financial guidance and support to other departments within the organization - Educate staff on financial matters and promote financial literacy within the organization Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (Master's degree preferred) - Proven experience working in a finance leadership role - Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Note:
