& Anne Bartolo Law currently has an opening for a receptionist/legal administrative assistant.
This position is located in downtown Peoria, directly across from the Peoria County Courthouse.
Kamp Law Office handles a wide variety of cases ranging from criminal, family, divorce, and juvenile.
Anne Bartolo Law handles adoptions, estate planning, estate administration, guardianship, and juvenile.
In this position, you will be working directly under both attorneys and their respective cases.
Schedule is Monday through Thursday, being an eight hour work day, thirty-two hours per week.
Must possess a valid driver's license/form of identification and high school diploma.
Legal or secretarial experience is preferred but not required.
Must be familiar with or willing to learn how to utilize Google Docs, Spreadsheets, and Adobe Acrobat.
Hourly rate commensurate with experience.
Must be able to pass a background check.
A Receptionist/Legal Administrative Assistant with our firm performs:
answer and direct all phone calls, take messages, and provide information to clients; communication with clients, via phone and email, greeting and assisting clients in a friendly manner; managing both attorneys calendars - scheduling appointments & court appearances; managing client files, scanning, copying, and organization; typing simple legal documents and correspondence; and other duties as may be assigned by supervising attorneys from time to time.

high attention to detail; must be able to work in a fast paced environment; ability to draft and proofread documents; strong organizational skills; strong interpersonal communication skills; ability to problem solve; ability to track and manage deadlines; and high level of professionalism.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
