The Cost Accountant within our Plant will perform reporting, maintenance, and analysis of financial reporting information. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: cost accounting, journal entries, fixed asset accounting, CAPEX reporting, and labor accounting.
This client is a global leader in the capital goods sector that, through its various businesses, designs, produces and sells agricultural and construction equipment, trucks, commercial vehicles, buses and specialty vehicles, in addition to a broad portfolio of powertrain applications. Our Group revenues totaled $34.2 billion for 2013.
Based in Central IL, the Cost Accountant role is a great opportunity to understand our business through setting standard costs, actively participating in our lean manufacturing program, and being highly involved with plant operations.
Specific responsibilities include:
Prepare monthly cost variance analysis (current cost vs. standard cost)
Review current cost (Materials, Labor and Overhead cost) as part of standard cost setting
Forecasting and budgeting of material usage and variances associated with usage, engineering changes and make/buy activities
Monitor and approve changes to the bill of materials and routings
Provide standard cost per configuration to the Marketing and Sales as needed
Support month end close by processing monthly journal entries and provide explanations for variances
Provide weekly flash report for material variances
Prepare make/buy analysis as required
Provide assistance during internal and external audits
Perform quarterly product margin analysis
Participates in World Class Manufacturing (a program to that tracks and reduces unnecessary waste and losses through implementation of cost reducing strategies throughout plant)
Preferred Qualifications
CMA
Working knowledge of SAP
Education and Experience (minimum required for consideration)
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
3
years relevant work experience in a variety of finance and/or accounting roles within a manufacturing environment
2
years direct experience in a standard cost environment
Demonstrated knowledge of US GAAP
Experienced in MS Office, advanced Excel skills required
Hours: 40 hours a week may require Overtime as needed
Pay: $30-35Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
