The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Illinois College Of Medicine at Peoria seeks a psychiatry residency training director. This position is a perfect opportunity for a seasoned educator to oversee a fully-accredited training program that has filled each year with outstanding residents. The director will be supported by a growing number of talented, energetic faculty members and will have the opportunity to implement innovative ideas for training, curriculum and scholarship. We have strong clinical partners that provide state-of-the-art training facilities including a newly constructed $25 million simulation training center.

Duties:
1. Administer the general psychiatry residency program in accordance with the requirements of the ACGME Residency Review Committee (RRC)
2. Maintain full ACGME certification for the program
3. Recruit and select high quality residents
4. Assist in the development and implementation of programs, including fellowships, to support a high quality education for psychiatry residents
5. Assist in faculty member development
6. Provide clinical services at the direction of the Chair
7. Assist to advance the scholarly production of the faculty and residents
Qualifications:
Applicants for the Program Director position should be BC in general psychiatry, have
